Interlink is a members-led charity that listens to and works alongside individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations to make a difference in local communities in and around Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Interlink is the County Voluntary Council for Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), an ‘umbrella’ or ‘Hub’ organisation for community and voluntary groups with over 500 members.

Our values

Connect RCT:

  • is friendly, open and accessible and welcomes everyone;
  • gives information that is accurate and up to date;
  • is a safe space where people are equal and diversity is celebrated.

Our vision

Connect RCT will be the 'go to’ place in RCT where everyone can find relevant and up to date information on:

  • Local activities, events and facilities;
  • Local information, advice and guidance;
  • Informal and formal local volunteering opportunities;
  • Connections, where people and organisations offer and receive informal support from each other.

Our aims

Connect RCT will be the 'go to’ place for:

  • Improve how they feel
  • Volunteer in their local community, either informally and formally
  • Find out about community activities, events and facilities
  • Connect, offer and receive informal support from each other
  • Find information, advice and guidance on local services
  • Connect informally in a safe setting with relevant people, groups and activities in their community
  • Find accessible and up to date information
  • Find a community they can feel part of

  • Promote community activities, events and facilities
  • Find out what others are doing, share and develop ideas and work together
  • Recruit volunteers
  • Recruit people to attend activities, events and facilities
  • Offer community information, advice and support

People do not have a platform which they can search to find out what is available locally.

There are no platforms that provide a wide range of accessible and up to date information.

There is no single platform to support informal volunteering.

  • Provide up to date and accurate local information to add value to national platforms such as InfoEngine (Dewis) and Volunteering in Wales
  • Promote local information, advice and guidance
  • Help individuals they support find out about local activities, events and facilities
